Olympic Island Fesitval Part 2
I was stuck in line waiting for a hot dog and pop for a lot of Bloc Party but they still sounded awesome by the BBQ :p The sun was getting low but they're awesome tunes kept everyone energized
Broken Social Scene was on last with a spectacular 2hr+ set. The sun was going down and the sweet lighting was really starting to stand out. They played every great song and kept the crowd going late into the night.
I will definetly be posting some more from the day (I took 250) in the near future!

Olympic Island Fesitval Part 1
I went to the Olympic Island Festival in Toronto this past weekend and had a blast. After the nervousness of bringin the SLR in (the event wasn't so keen on them) wore off I settled into an awesome 8 hrs of live music on a beautiful day. I saw a lot of awesome people and enjoyed 5 incredible bands.
This is Raising the Fawn. They started off the day with some sweet tunes. They are always great live and were a nice opening act.
J Mascis then played with Broken Social Scene as his backin band. Some of the songs were really awesome and he's a pretty sweet guitarist.
Leslie Feist came on and things really started picking up. She played a wonderful set mid-afternoon and got the crowd moving and involved. Everyone was clapping and havin fun.
The last two bands will follow soon :)

Oakville Panoramic
The skyline the night Dave and I were testing out our new cams!
Click to see it larger and if you have a giant 23" widescreen monitor try this XL version.
Photoshop has become a good friend and teacher this week. Decided to try photomerge instead of photostitch and really liked the result!

I Remember The Good Old Days - When I Had A Link On Your Site. Anyways, I Like This Picture But I Don't Know Why. Maybe It's Because Of The Awsome Sky, Or Perhaps The Boat, Maybe The People Up Front That Really Seem To Pop, COuld Be A Combination Of All Of Those. But I Think It's Mostly Because You Took This Picture With A New Camera And Anything New Just Turns Me On. Vote "Consumerism" In The Next Election And If Their Platform Doesn't Appeal, Maybe Try The Maroon Party, Or The Party For People Who Want The Leafs To Win The Cup - I Hear They've Got Some Great Ideas And A Solid PLatform.

Wild sunset
So sad about Edmonton. Next time!
This sunset hopefully will make everything better.
I tried it out in colour on my flickr but liked how the b+w turned out after all!

Math Building Heiroglyphics
Yesterday I worked on a chem lab for hours in the afternoon and then a computer science assignment in the evening unitl early in the morning. Chris and I went on an adventure to hand them in and wound up with some neat pics.
You may recognize Chris from his many appearances on Dave's blog! He was also the star model for my photo in U&I Magazine!
Plus he's also just an awesome guy :)

Company Limited
Another attempt at HDR. Still handheld but this one lined up really well. The building looks neat... the sky was a bit of trouble but I think it turned out dece. Tell me what you think of this HDR business.
New version of the Adobe Lightroom Beta is wonderful. Native support for the 30D, proper Photoshop export (profile managed), RGB values, history, neat before and after, web development. I swear, I applied to Adobe but they rejected me :p Point is, give it a shot especially if you're a RAW person. Quickest, easiest way to process.

Congrats on getting the #21 spot (dave is #78! Haha). I have no idea how we all got on there, but I noticed a ton of traffic coming from photoblogs and low and behold we are all there.
Your right about the HDR not being too dynamic (the sky looks amazing but eveything else is dark). At least it doesn't look like the muddy, contrast free ones that you always see on flickr.

PS I posted up a bookmark for your blog and that bumped you up to #20. Only 10 more until the front page of photoblogs.org!

A boy and his 1D
Everyone is full of new cameras this weekl!
Dave got his 1D on Monday and I moved to a 30D on Wed... so we took our cameras out for a test spin yesterday evening. Dave already talked about it on his blog and his shots turned out awesome. We played around with fill flash (which I was smart enough to bring) and learned to love it!
I got a small scan of my page in U&I Magazine today! Check it! Go here to purchase a copy. Please try to support them. It's an incredible independent magazine with fantastic photographers. It's also available at a few stores around the GTA so check the site out!
